Our
History RB
Kinetic Toys Inc. has been hand crafting toys for over seven years. The company
began in 1993 when the award winning sculptor, cabinetmaker and teacher, Robert
Braczyk, brought together his lifelong interest in toys, design, and mechanics
to produce a line of "Circus Toys". While marketing these items through upscale
stores and museum shops such as the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum
of American Craft in New York, we developed a side line in custom-designed awards.
It soon became apparent that our approach is unique in the awards, trophy and
gift business. We are now, through the Internet, offering this service to a wider
range of clients.
Because of our beginnings, many of these awards and gifts have expressed playful
or humorous qualities (highly desirable things in many cases). However, with years
of experience and know-how we can carry out almost any concept in a vast array
of materials and styles. Our work has received notice in many newspapers including
The New York Times and we have been featured on the cable network show, Magazine.
In 1997, two pieces were acquired for their permanent collection by the Museum
of the City of New York. Our toys reside in many private collections around the
country and in Europe. RB Kinetic’s award and gift clients have ranged from large
corporations to small sole proprietorships, and from circuses to medical service
organizations. Throughout the years and many projects we have consistently pleased
and surprised clients with our ingenious and beautiful solutions to their needs.
