"Large Medicare Rights Center Maze", client: Medicare Rights Center, 2000, (two versions)
Large: 12x14x6in., mahogany and cherry, edition of 3. This award is a perfect physical metaphor for this fine service organization. The piece can be lifted from its base and manipulated to guide the ball along the maze. In its course the ball passes through the organization’s logo. Embedded magnets at start and finish anchor the ball for display. In the large piece above we were able to laser cut the organization's name into the wood. The smaller, less expensive version has a brass dedication plaque along the bottom edge.
