'Franklin College Award', client: Franklin College, Switzerland, 2003, 15in. high, Annual Award

This award was presented to the commencement speaker at Franklin (an American) College located in Switzerland. With an international emphasis and significant travel requirement as part of the schools degree program, we developed a design that integrated traditional symbols of education (book and diploma) with representations of the globe and a suitcase. The symbolic links are reinforced further since all the elements are tied together through the emblem of Franklin College. In addition, the four upper elements move around the world for over three minutes on a single spin. As with all of our work, each component is custom made.
